My Process

My works focus on the intentional reduction of "visual noise" that is often found in traditional landscape representaion. I'm not interested in capturing photo realistic vistas or exact terrains. Instead, I choose to isolate and elevate distinct and singular elements. Be it a stretch of harbor or a drifting cloud. Through this reductive approach, I seek to bring attention to the overlooked or the under-appreciated aspects of our environment and the deep emotional and visual resonance tha tit holds for us all. My goal is to create pieces that feel like a pause: a moment of reflection within the vastness of all that surrounds and distracts us. I explore how the transitory qualities of nature have a quiet, yet profound, presence in our daily lives.

My Materials

As an award winning artist working with mixed media on canvas, I create using oils, acrylics, and pastels. I build surfaces that feel both grounded and elusive. This layering mimics the fluidity of the natural world, allowing for a balance between control and spontaneity in my final compositions.
